BIO

ken arnold.jpg

Ken is a former Baltimore Orioles farmhand who moved to Maryland in 1994 while playing for the Double AA Bowie Baysox of the Eastern League. While there he met his wife, who is from Annapolis. After a nine-year professional baseball career, where he was once booed for replacing Cal Ripken Jr. during an exhibition game, he started acting. Because baseball didn’t seem hard enough.

One of his first acting jobs was on the Baltimore based television classic, Homicide. It was just extra work, but Ken loved the craft and the business and he started to branch out. He started attending auditions in New York and even went to LA to see what it was all about. Since his early days he has gone on to have roles in some classic television shows like The Wire and House of Cards. He has also been in some major motion pictures, one being, Men in Black 3, where he portrayed legendary astronaut, Buzz Aldrin. Ken has been in hundreds of productions over the years including theater, television, films, commercials, theater and more.

He has produced, written and directed award winning indie films. The first was the indie hit horror comedy, The Night Watchmen, which has been distributed world wide after an incredible film festival run screening in forty festivals and winning twenty five awards including a best actor award for Ken. The second, A Comedy of Horrors Volume 1, is a horror comedy anthology written, directed, produced and starring Ken. It has garnered best film at two festivals in a short festival run and is scheduled to be released in 2022. His current project that he is producing and stars in, A Town Called Purgatory, is deep into post production. Principal photography occurred in Austria early in 2021 during the pandemic. This project is a horror western sure to make a huge splash on the festival circuit in late 2022.

His next acting project is a series on HBO, We Own This City, where he teams up again with the creators of The Wire, David Simon and George Pelacanos. A member of SAG/AFTRA since 2001, he lives in Annapolis with his wife Maria and their five children. He coaches football and baseball, brews his own beer, and loves to fish.
